blueCAPE is proud to officially present blueCFD, the updated service package available upon request, of a high quality cross-compiled build version of 2.1.x (February 8th), for Windows XP, Vista and Seven, 32 and 64bit, with some additional tweaks, executables and scripts, in order to maintain usability under a Windows environment.
Note: This update is already accessible to all blueCFD 2.0+2.1 users!

This includes the updated releases of blueCFD-SingleCore 2.1-2. There you'll also find our fully free and open source subset of blueCFD. Keep in mind that this project is still under development, but both the installer and source code are already available!

blueCAPE became certified according the norm NP 4457:2007 by SGS for "Research, Development and Innovation in Software and Consultancy in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)".

The NP 4457 is a Portuguese standard for the certification of a "Research Development and Innovation Management System" based on a model of innovation supported by the interaction between scientific/technological knowledge, organizational knowledge as well as markets and society in general.

This includes the updated releases of blueCFD-SingleCore 2.0-2 and 2.0-1. There you'll also find our fully free and open source subset of blueCFD. Keep in mind that this project is still under development, but both the installer and source code are already available!

Introduction

blueCFD is both a product and a service that provides of a high quality cross-compiled build version of OpenFOAM� for Windows XP, Vista and Seven (32 and 64bit), with some additional tweaks, executables and scripts, in order to maintain usability under a Windows environment. It provides a near Linux experience through MSys. It also includes the official Paraview binaries, in 32 and 64bit versions. The vtkPOpenFOAMReader is the plug-in used in Paraview, for reading OpenFOAM simulation files, because it offers better support for large files and multi-platform. MPICH2, MS-MPI and Open-MPI are the possible MPI packages used by blueCFD for running OpenFOAM with a multi-core and multi-machine environment in Windows. Paraview uses it's own Open-MPI build for parallel processing, but it can also read multi-processor runs with a single core.

blueCFD ThirdParty is a service package designed to integrate additional free and/or open source software packages provided online into your blueCFD installation. The objectives are: to improve user experience with blueCFD; to provide additional support to those free and open source efforts.

We are also proud to present our new open source project: blueCFD-SingleCore. There you'll also find our fully free and open source subset of blueCFD. Keep in mind that this project is still under development, but both the installer and source code are already available!

The next generation of blueCFD 2.0-1 is already in development. We are expecting to release exciting new features with the next blueCFD release, along with the exciting new features of OpenFOAM 2.0.0 released by OpenCFD! Keep in kind that blueCFD is not endorsed by OpenCFD, who is the trade mark holder of OpenFOAM.

As a sample of the new developments underway, registered blueCFD users can get the new User Guide here for blueCFD 1.7-2. Neither the general public nor other registered users can access the new guide.

blueCFD is a service package of a high quality cross-compiled build version of OpenFOAM(R) for Windows XP, Vista and Seven (32 and 64bit), with some additional tweaks, executables and scripts, in order to maintain usability under a Windows environment. It provides a near Linux experience through MSys. It also includes the official Paraview 3.8.0, in 32 and 64bit versions. The vtkPOpenFOAMReader is the plug-in used in Paraview, for reading OpenFOAM simulation files, because it offers better support for large files and multi-platform. MPICH2 is used for running OpenFOAM with a multi-core and multi-machine environment. Paraview uses MS-MPI for parallel processing, but it can also read multi-processor runs with a single core. Discretizer has been added to the blueCFD package, to provide a GUI meshing utility and can also work as a GUI for using OpenFOAM.
